This technical regulation applies to technical means capable of creating electromagnetic interference and (or) the quality of functioning of which depends on the influence of external electromagnetic interference.

General characteristics of technical means to which
TR CU 020/2011 does NOT apply:

Used by manufacturers of other technical equipment as their component parts and not intended for independent use

Passive regarding electromagnetic compatibility

Not included in the Unified List of Products, for which mandatory requirements are established within the Customs Union, approved by the Commission of the Customs Union

List of technical means that are not subject to
conformity assessment to TR CU 020/2011

Wires, cords, cables and cable assemblies

Headphones and speakers without amplification functions

Technical means containing only resistive load and without automatic switching devices, for example, household electric heaters without thermostats or fans

Protective equipment that creates transient electromagnetic interference of short duration (much less than 1 s) as a result of operation in the event of a short circuit or an abnormal situation in the electrical circuit, not containing fuses (emergency shutdown devices) with active electronic parts

High voltage equipment in which possible sources of electromagnetic interference are only due to localized insulation defects (e.g. high voltage inductors, high voltage transformers), provided that the said equipment does not contain active electronic parts

Plugs, sockets, fuses, switches and circuit breakers without active electronic circuits

Capacitors such as power factor correction capacitors

Induction motors

Quartz watch (no additional functions such as radio reception)

Incandescent lamps

Electric batteries and accumulators and lighting equipment powered by them without active electronic circuits

Passive antennas for radio and television reception

Conformity assessment of technical means is carried out by confirming compliance in the form of certification and declaration. The list of technical means subject to certification is specified in the Appendix to TR CU 020/2011, technical means that are not included in this list, but that meet the requirements of TR CU in terms of the presence of active electromagnetic interference and do not fall under the list of exclusions, are subject to confirmation of conformity in the form of a declaration.

For mass-produced products, with production control by the manufacturer and tests in an accredited testing laboratory
